Student's learning interest and the role of parents on student learning outcomes in Palangka Raya elementary school
Abstract

Two factors affect learning outcomes, namely internal and extraneous factors. Internal factors are within the person who learns including health, intelligence, and talents, interest, and motivation. External factors are from outside includes the family environment, school, community, and the environment. These factors interact with each other in achieving student learning outcomes and also support the success of students in learning. The role of parents is very important in education because education is first and foremost starting from the family environment and parents are the main key to the occurrence of education in the family itself. Therefore, to produce high-achieving students, a teacher must be able to synergize all of the above factors in classroom learning.
