Preliminary study to predict land and river quality changes due to sand mining
Abstract

This preliminary study was conducted in Tanjung Pinang Village, Pahandut District, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province. The purpose of this study is to predict changes in land and river quality due to sand mining activities. The description of changes in quality and environmental management efforts shows that it can be done to prevent impacts on ex-sand mining land. This potential for prevention can be utilized by local governments in determining policies related to preventing environmental damage and minimizing the negative impact of mining business activities on the environment. Furthermore, it is as a direction to the community, especially sand mining business actors about the need to implement sustainable and environmentally friendly mining business activities and apply good mining patterns.
