Using Moringa leaf extract as biostimulant and giberrellic acid for enhancing Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare var. azoricum mill.) growth and oil yield
The field work was carried out at the experimental farm "Demo" in faculty of Agriculture, Fayoum university, during two successive seasons of 2013/2014 and 2014/2015. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of Giberrellic acid (GA3) and Moringa leaf aqueous extract (MLe) as individual and interaction on the growth, seed (fruit) yield, oil production and its main components and chemical constituents of Fennel plants. The results showed that spraying fennel plants at 150ppm (GA3) plus 20% of (MLe) gave the highest vegetative growth attributes; plant height, branches number plant-1 and fresh and dry weight plant-1. Using 50 ppm of GA3 along with 10% of MLe concentration recorded the highest fruit yield plant-1, fruit yield feddan-1, oil yield plant-1 and feddan-1, also the highest percentages of oil constituents; α-Pinene, Limonene, Eucalyptol, Fenchone and trans-Anethole but it gave the lowest content of Estragole, (which is undesirable component), compared to other treatments. While, the foliar application of 50ppm with 30% of MLe concentration has resulted in the highest values in terms of number of umbels plant-1 and root length. The highest content of chlorophyll (a), (b) and carotenoids has been given from the interaction between 150ppm (GA3) with 30% of (MLe) concentrations. The highest contents of total carbohydrates percentage and the greatest essential oil percentage plant-1 were obtained from the moderate concentration of GA3, (100ppm) combined with 20% of MLe.
Hence, it can be recommended that for obtaining higher fruit yield plant-1 and feddan-1 and oil yield plant-1 and feddan-1, Fennel plants should be sprayed with 50ppm of GA3 plus 10% of MLe concentration.

Activity of cellulase in the midgut homogenate of the palm weevil, Rhynchophorus phoenicis F. (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)
Palm weevil, Rhynchophorus phoenicis F is a key pest of palm trees and sugar cane in the tropics and subtropical regions of the world where it causes great economic losses. The midgut of the larva and adult stages of this insect are rich in digestive enzymes. Cellulase, being one of the most important carbohydrases was investigated in the midguts of the larva and adult stages of this insect using dinitrosalicylic acid reagent method. The optimum condition for cellulase bioassay in the midgut of the larva of R. phoenicis involved 2 ml of 1% starch, 2 ml of phosphate buffer (pH 4.0) and 1 ml of enzyme extract incubated at optimum temperature of 45o C were optimal for cellulase activity in both the larval and adult weevils. Michaelis-Menten constants (Km) of 2.5 mg/ml and 3.12 mg/ml were obtained for the larva and adult midgut cellulases respectively.

The development of an integrated thematic model through scientific approach based value of inquiry in Blitar, East Java
The long-term aim of this research is to obtain a learning model that can promote the integrated thematic learning competence through scientific approach to the students at the primary school age. This research used a model development by Borg and Gall. The results showed that; (1) the integrated thematic model through scientific approach based value of inquiry was an alternative model learning which can help the students in learning not only by memorizing but also by doing, experiencing, proving, and dialoging; (2) from the students’ activities it was found that there was any improvements in solving problems in group; (3) the students’ creativities indicated the improvements in learning style in which at the beginning, the students’ learning style were coming, sitting, writing, and memorizing, then it changed into observing, identifying, analyzing, comparing, and proving; (4) it built an enjoyable community. Moreover, the result of the study showed the excellent highest percentage (85%-100%). This study was in the form of CD which contains integrated thematic learning strategy through scientific approach based value of inquiry.

Some characterization for record values
In this paper we discussed some explicit forms for conditional expectations of record values. We study the necessary and sufficient conditions such that the conditional expectations of record values hold for some distribution functions.

Underrepresentation of disadvantaged youth in gifted programs and overrepresentation in prisons
The United States of America has the highest incarceration rate in the world. The probability of an individual being incarcerated is a complex combination of factors, including socio-economic status, level of education, and ethnicity. Within prison populations, the percentage of individuals identified as gifted is higher than those identified within the general population. A lack of support for gifted individuals in their academic careers, both in the school system and in extracurricular opportunities, leads to a correlation in the higher number of gifted individuals in prison. When opportunities and supports are limited or non-existent, the potential for risk taking and incarceration is increased. Once an individual is incarcerated, there are a few programs to support general education needs; although, very few programs support the needs of gifted individuals. Using contemporary research on disadvantaged gifted students and gifted rates among prison populations, this paper provide an overview of these concerns and a call for s future investigations into the link between an increased rate of servicing gifted students’ needs and a possible reduced incarceration rate.

Some achievements from a statistical queuing theory research
It is intended in this paper, that is the corrected and enlarged version of Ferreira (2016) presented at APLIMAT 2016, to give an overview on some achievements, considered the most important, of a research on queues through a long time period. Infinite servers’ queues are mainly considered. A theory of queues overview, single node and in network is presented. And laying on it some important new theoretical results are highlighted. Also practical applications, the most of them uncommon but some very well known, using mainly infinite servers nodes are outlined. In the theoretical results stand out:
- An algorithm to compute the sojourn time probability distribution function of a customer in a network which nodes are M/G/∞ queues, using traffic equations and Laplace transform,
- A collection of service times distributions for which the M/G/∞ queue busy period length probability distribution has a particularly simple structure, very rare in the busy period lengths domain.
The practical applications considered in this work, mainly using the M/G/∞ queue ability for the study of large populations processes, are in:
- Logistics, Financial problems, Energy problems, Disease problems, Unemployment situations, Compartment models (Biology, Birth-sickness-death Processes, Hierarchical Systems) and Repairs Shop.
Some historical important parameters in queues domain are named and emphasized its role in the applications. Also some problems, still open problems, as the conditions for the existence of product form equilibrium distribution, are touched upon.
In the end it is given a considerable list of references on these subjects.
