Conflict Of Interest Statement
Editors
Editors are responsible for managing the review process and have the right to decline any submission in cases of conflict of interest. They must not have any direct personal and/or financial conflicts related to the manuscripts assigned to them. Editors should not be involved in the editorial process of any manuscript on which they are listed as an author.
Reviewers
Reviewers are obligated to decline the review process if they have a significant conflict of interest. In case of uncertainty, they should consult the Editor before proceeding with the review. To avoid potential conflicts of interest, researchers from the same institutions as the authors should not be assigned as reviewers.
Authors
In line with the general publication policy of the Acta Scientiae et Intellectus (ASI), only individuals who have made a genuine contribution to the study should be listed as authors. Authors are responsible for disclosing all personal and financial relationships that may influence their work. Financial relationships—such as employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, and paid expert testimony—are considered the most readily identifiable and potentially compromising sources of conflict of interest.
To clarify any possible conflict, authors must submit a letter to the editorial office at the time of manuscript submission, explicitly declaring whether any potential conflicts of interest exist.
NOTE: When an Editorial Board member submits a manuscript to the journal, the following procedures are applied:
- The manuscript is evaluated regardless of the author's editorial role.
- All editorial privileges of the author are suspended for that issue, and their access to the journal interface is restricted.
- The author is not allowed to suggest reviewers.
- The manuscript is processed in full compliance with all editorial and peer review policies of the journal.
